Elevate your Short game to the next level at Whitby Golf Club

As a Teaching professional for over twenty years, i’ve always believed the best way for anyone to better their game is through the development of the game from 100 yards and in.

Most golfers, including myself will at some point find themselves obessed with the swing, over thinking it, over complicating it and wanting to change it! And don’t get me wrong, everyones swing needs an element of maintance and fixing now and again. But what really brings the game to life and togeather, are the parts of the game that are often over looked. And so being out on the course with you, not the range, you can really benefit from my professional experinece gaining far more from each lesson than just a tip on the swing.

Dan Davies - Deputy Editor, Esquire Magazine

”When I went to see James Ellis-Caird my short game was a mess, my head was a mess and I wasn’t sure whether I wanted to continue my 27-year love affair with golf. Through his boundless knowledge, infectious enthusiasm and proven methods, he managed what any number of shrinks, doctors and happy pills have failed to do by getting me to clear my mind and focus on the simple things. I doubted whether anyone could get me back to playing well but James not only improved my technique, he got me thinking about the short game in a totally new way. This is the way golf should be taught.”

Reviews

"I can't speak highly enough about James Ellis-Caird.

He's got a way of simplifying the game in One's mind. By this I mean trusting him in removing all previous out-dated methods and ideas derived from various sources that usually clutters your head when you stand over a golf ball. I've had 7 lessons with him now and he's enabled me to swing consistently without effort, given me a process for my erratic short game and best of all given me confidence to be free, keep it simple and enjoy myself on a golf course. Top bloke and top coach!"

- Joe Talbut, Director

“I highly recommend James as a teaching pro”

“ It was immediately clear to me that James was a master with the wedge. His infectious enthusiasam for the short game was inspiring. Working on my distance control it was only after a couple lessons that i felt i had some confidence to play the awkward 30 and 60 yard wedge shots. Being out on this wonderfully quiet little course was the best fun I’ve ever spent with a coach”

— Thomas De Jaegere, Trader Millennium Capital Partners

“Inspirational”

“What I loved most about James’ short game coaching was he ability to not seem to coach me but allow me to find my own improvement. My short game especially was non existent until finding James and The Chiltern Hospital course. Ive met with James five times now and not only has my short game improved enormously but I now love the game more”

- Ian Wright, mad golfer
